Dry
Hydrotherapy FAQ's:
A Brief History of Hydrotherapy:
Hydrotherapy is the
internal and external therapeutic use of water and complimentary
agents. Hydrotherapy is a traditional method of treatment used by
many cultures, including those of ancient Rome, China and Japan.
Water therapy has been around for centuries. Water is an important
ingredient in the traditional Chinese and Native American healing
systems. A Bavarian monk, Father Sebastian Kneipp helped
re-popularize the therapeutic use of water in the 19th century.
Currently there are many methods of applying hydrotherapy including
hydrotherapy beds, whirlpools, saunas, wraps and packs.

What is a dry hydrotherapy bed?
The AquaMED AM200 dry hydrotherapy massage bed combines the healing
power of water, heat and massage into a single modality. You are
fully clothed, comfortably supported and protected by a durable
barrier while streams of heated water are directed to the treatment
areas of your body.
Why use a dry hydrotherapy bed?
Dry hydrotherapy massage beds are an ideal alternative to hands-on
massage by allowing the client to remain fully clothed and dry in a
private, comfortable setting. All settings can be instantly adjusted
with the touch of finger on the interactive touch screen. The
pressure of the water simulates Swedish massages strokes as it
glides across your body. A one-way massage option may be used for
lymphatic drainage.
How will the user feel during a water
massage session?
During a warm water massage, the user feels a powerful wave of water
that has the ability to massage the entire body. The deep tissue
water massage provides an overwhelming feeling of relaxation.
