About Massage:
A Brief History of Massage:
Massage is considered to be among the
oldest of all treatments used by man. Chinese records dating back
3,000 years documented its use. The ancient Hindus, Persians and
Egyptians used forms of massage for some aliments, and Hippocrates
wrote papers recommending the use of rubbing and friction for joint
and circulatory problems.

thought of as a luxury for the rich and famous. Today, massage is an

the body's largest organ - the skin

softens injured and overused muscles
- Reduces spasms
and cramping

joint flexibility

recovery time, helps prepare for strenuous workouts and
eliminates subsequent pains of the athlete at any level

endorphins - the body's natural painkiller - and is being used
in chronic illness, injury and recovery from surgery to control
and relieve pain
- Improves
range-of-motion and decreases discomfort for patients with low
back pain
